Serena Williams was all smiles while posing with the U.S. tennis team on the day of the Rio 2016 Olympics opening ceremony, captioning this patriotic shot: “Our amazing tennis team.”
Unfortunately, the reigning Olympic women’s singles champ was knocked out of the competition in round three by Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina.

“It didn’t work out the way I wanted to, but at least I was able to make it to Rio,” said Williams.
“That was one of my goals.”.
