RCCG Guidebook That Teaches Children to Pay Tithe Sparks Fierce Debate Online

An Redeemed Christian Church of God guidebook has come under fire by social media users for teaching children to pay tithe from money they collect from their parents.

Many people have reacted to a controversial Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) teachers guide book online teaching little children to pay tithe.

The argument is that since many children are not working, how are they being taught to start paying tithe at a tender age when they are not staying on their own.

The book specifically mentioned that children should ensure that they collect money from their parents to pay tithe which many people believe is wrong.

A commenter wrote: "Hay God!

"Teaching is OK, for them to pay tithe is wat I don't understand, are dey working? I Tot tithe is for income earners, so if I give my child 100naira to buy sweets, he/she should give God 10naira for tithe! Daddy GO easy ooo, it's not business, dis one pass me oooo."

Another added: "Is nice teaching them how to pay tithe. If they receive any gift they should give their parents and tell them to pay their tithe from it. If they develop the habit of tithe paying they will never be poor in life. I have been doing this from secondary school and I have never and by God's grace will never go poor. If God knows you will be faithful to pay tithe from 10m,he will definitely give you 100m."

Someone else said: "Tithe is a personal thing. I personally do not believe I must give to a church to tithe. I can earmark 10% of my income to helping those in need or doing charitable deeds, that is what I believe in. Or must not be to a church or pastor!"
"The way pastors go on and on about thiting, one would think it was jesus' sole message when he was on earth. Truth is he never spoke of it." another person added.

Jonathan Holds Meeting With Buhari At Aso Rock

Former President Goodluck Jonathan is currently in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Upon arrival, He was received by Babachir Lawal, secretary to the government of the federation.
Mr. Jonathan arrived the Villa at exactly 2 pm and went straight to the President’s office but did not meet the president on seat.

The president had gone to the Mosque straight from the Council chamber where he presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
He came out immediately after the prayer to meet with Mr. Jonathan.
This is the fourth time Mr. Jonathan is visiting his successor.
He was at the Villa in August and November last year and in June this year. He did not address the press on either occasion.

Awww! How Ex US President Bill Clinton Met His Wife, Hillary Will Make Your Soul Melt

Former president of the United States of America, Bill Clinton, has spoken eloquently abut how he met his wife Hillary.

Bill Clinton gave a totally amazing speech about how he wooed his wife, last night.
The former president gave the speech at the Democratic National Convention.

He stepped easily into storyteller mode, saying, “In the spring of 1971, I met a girl. I asked her to take a walk…we’ve been walking, talking and laughing together ever since.”
“I married my best friend,” he continued. “I was still in awe, after more than four years of being around her, at how smart, and strong, and caring she was.”
But the speech wasn’t just about his incredible love for his incredible wife, the first woman presidential nominee from a major party.
“She’s the best darn change-maker I’ve ever met in my entire life. This is a really important point,” he said. “This woman has never been satisfied with the status quo. She always wants to move the ball forward. That is just who she is.”

This election has been absolutely filled to the brim with tension, and that tension has been valid. Emotions have run high and harsh words have been thrown.
At the end of the day, though, sometimes it’s nice to sit back and appreciate a little bit of love, and, if nothing else, the speech helped remind us that Hillary’s a person just like the rest of us.

Omg! Naira Falls to All Time Low...You Won't Believe the New Exchange Rate Per Dollar

The naira has fallen again against the dollar, this time to an all time low. The new exchange rate will surprise you.

On Wednesday, a day after the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Monetary Policy Committee hiked interest rates to lure foreign investors back into local assets, the naira fell against the dollar at the interbank foreign exchange market to an all-time low of 334.50.

Reuters reports that the naira had closed at 310 against the interbank market on Tuesday. About $10m was traded at the new record low.
Foreign exchange traders said investors were pushing the currency lower to test the limit of how far it could fall, given a spread of almost 12 per cent between the official and black market naira rates.
“If we have more people trying to buy the naira then it should strengthen. I think we will keep seeing the trickles… I don’t think we will see large inflows until the fundamentals of the economy improves,” one trader told Reuters.
Economic analysts said the fall in the value of the naira against the dollar at the interbank market had nothing to do with the increase in the Monetary Policy Rate.
A currency analyst at Ecobank Nigeria, Mr. Kunle Ezun, said the exchange rate was reacting to the interplay of demand and supply at the interbank market.
He said, “This is what the interbank forex market really wants, that is, a situation where only the forces of demand and supply will determine price. So far, the CBN has not intervened this week. The rate at the interbank market today has nothing to do with the increase in the MPR."
Ezun said a depreciating naira might attract some foreign portfolio investors into the economy but would cause higher inflation in coming months.
“There is no shortcut. Rising inflation will affect consumer demand and the value of the naira,” he added,
An expert and Partner, Transaction Advisory Services, Ernst and Young Nigeria, Mr. Bisi Sanda, said the CBN’s Monetary Policy Committee should have reduced the interest rate in order to stimulate economic growth, instead of increasing the MPR.

He said, “The inflation we are experiencing is not caused by a shift in demand curve, but a shift in the supply curve. Instead of hiking the interest rate, we should have reduced it in order to stimulate growth through increased spending.

"The voting pattern at the MPC shows that not all the members are actually in support of the increase in the interest rate.”
According to the Chief Executive Officer, Cowry Assets Management Limited, Mr. Johnson Chuwkwu, the CBN needs to act fast and restore confidence back to the market.
This, he said, could be done by ensuring that the exchange rate stability is achieved as soon as possible.

Chukwu said, “As it is, there is no amount of depreciation or devaluation that happens that will give foreign portfolio investors confidence. They want to see stability. They want to be able to predict the naira.

Once there is stability, confidence will return. The CBN may do this by accessing a lifeline from the International Monetary Policy Committee.”

Munich Shooting: Gunman Kills Self After Shooting 9 People Dead

The identity of the lone shooter in the tragic shooting that happened in the Olympia shopping mall in Germany is yet to be made available by German authorities.

At least nine people were killed and 16 others injured Friday in a shooting rampage at a busy shopping district in Munich, Germany, police said.

Police searched for attackers, thinking there might be three, and found a man who had killed himself on a side street near Olympia shopping mall, police Chief Hubertus Andrae said.

Based on surveillance video and witness statements, police concluded he was the sole gunman, Andrae said.

The unidentified attacker was an 18-year-old German-Iranian who had lived in Munich for at least two years.

The man was not known to police and his motives are unclear, authorities said. No group has claimed responsibility.

Many children were among the casualties.

The shooting comes as recent terrorist attacks have put Europe on high alert.

This week, a teenager who said he was inspired by ISIS stabbed passengers on a German train before police shot him dead. Eight days earlier, 84 people were killed when a man drove a large truck through a crowd celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, France.

Shocking! Woman Turns into a Snake During S*x with Lover in Eket Hotel, Akwa Ibom (Photo)

A man has told a really shocking story of how a woman turned into a huge reptile during s*x with a man in a hotel.

Identified as Chris Asuquo, a journalist in Akwa Ibom, reported that a middle-aged man had taken a lady he met along a road in the town, to a hotel to have s*x with her in the hotel but he met the shock of his life when the woman allegedly turned into a mammoth reptile.

Although not verified yet, the story has left many people completely stunned.

Read his story below:

********************

"The incident took place on Friday when the man took the lady to a three Star hotel in Eket metropolis (name of hotel withheld). The man checked in with the light complexion woman apparently in her mid-thirties to have a nice time but it turned out to be his worse nightmare.

"Upon arriving the hotel, the pair sat at the bush bar and ordered for fresh fish pepper soup. According to the man, the lady opted for just drinks as she told him that she doesn't eat sea foods. Instead, she opted for a bottle of red wine.

"After having few bottles of drinks, the couple retired to their room. While in there, the man said he observed that she took so much time in the rest room which warranted him to knock on the door frequently, but she kept answering that she will soon be through.

"According to the man, when she finally came out, she told him not to touch her head while they made love, telling him that she had a severe headache and suggested that the red wine may have caused it.

"The man said that when they started having s*x, the lady started wriggling her body on the bed like a snake but he admitted that he didn't give serious thought to it 'as he was enjoying the action.'

"The man who is in his mid-forties, said as soon as he had his orgasm and got up from her body, he noticed that her entire body was fast changing to a snake. He said he was overwhelmed by fear and jumped out of the room Unclad and raised an alarm which attracted both the hotel managers and others patrons to rush to his room.

"When the management of the hotel made their way into the room, the lady was still half snake and half human, wriggling on the bed, but the hotel manager quickly rushed out to inform the police."

"They fastened the lock on the door of the room and instructed every one to keep off. Upon return, the lady had disappeared. The management handed over the man who brought the lady to their facility to the police from the Ukwa Police Division."

Obasanjo rubbishes National Assembly, says it’s an assembly of thieves, looters

Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, lashed out at the National Assembly, saying it is largely an assemblage of looters and thieves.
The former president said the National Assembly, which he said is shrouding its corruption in the opaque nature of its budget, has damaged its capacity to oversight the executive.
He accused the President Goodluck Jonathan-led executive of making direct payments to the legislature in order to cover up its wrong doings.
“Apart from shrouding the remunerations of the National Assembly in opaqueness and without transparency, they indulge in extorting money from departments, contractors and ministries in two ways,”He also said.
“They do so during visits to their projects and programmes and in the process of budget approval when they build up budgets for ministries and departments, who agree to give it back to them in contracts that they do not execute. They do similar things during their inquiries.”
Former President Obasanjo said the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has upped Nigeria’s corruption level through the huge sums of money it has been paying to the National Assembly to stop investigating its corrupt acts.
He equally pointed that, “Corruption in the National Assembly also includes what they call constituency projects which they give to their agents to execute but invariably, full payment is made with little or no job done.
The former president insisted that over the years, the National Assembly never singled out any corrupt lawmaker except where the executive led in the indictment of a member.
He listed some of the cases where the executive led in exposing corruption in the National Assembly to include those of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Salisu Buhari, and former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara.
He maintained that majority of the members of the National Assembly live above the law in both misconduct and corruption and cannot in good conscience carry out oversight duties on any government ministry or department.
“When the guard is the thief, only God can keep the house safe and secure,” he said. “But I am optimistic that sooner than later, we will overcome.
“God will give us guards of integrity and honesty with the fear of God and genuine love of their people and their country. He submitted.
